Hayden Groves

Chef Consultancy Services

I have known and worked with Hayden Groves for eight years.  He is an extremely talented chef as evidenced by winning the National Chef of The Year in 2013.

More importantly, Hayden is a very good mentor and developer of young chefs.  He is also a real contributor to the hospitality industry and society as a whole.  I have been amazed at the dedication and commitment he has given to helping raise huge amounts for Cure Leukaemia.  He achieved this by combining his creative flair with his passion for cycling.  Not only did he cycle the three major European tour routes but he also wrote a brilliant travelogue and recipe book ‘Back in the Saddle’ to record his and his fellow team members adventures.

I have the highest regard for Hayden and his achievements and hope to work with him again in the future.

"It has been an absolute pleasure to have known Hayden for well over 20 years. In that time, I have seen him grow immeasurably - not just as a chef, but as a sportsman, fundraiser, and all-round human being. He is a technically brilliant chef, illustrated by his incredible achievements on the competition circuit, and he is a consummate professional who gives himself wholly to any initiative he is involved in."

"The industry is better for the likes of Hayden. You just do not get a more talented, committed, loyal and hard working chef and, given his wealth of experience,  Hayden is now perfectly positioned to offer his talents to a potentially broad range of opportunities. While his cooking skills speak for themselves, it is his ever-positive, energetic and enthusiastic demeanour that sets him apart, and this, along with his ability to share his knowledge and teach, makes Hayden the real deal - a true master of his craft and an industry man at heart.”
